Analysis of RC buildings under seismic zones in Bangladesh concerning shear wall, aspect ratio and breadth to length ratio

Abstract Lateral forces (wind, seismic) generated in RC buildings are major design criteria against structural collapse. Shear walls offer effective ways to provide resistance such lateral loads. The present study investigates the drift and defection control of symmetrical by providing core corner shear walls. Different limiting were determined four seismic zones (Zone-1 Zone-4) Bangladesh, based on aspect ratio proposed breadth length (B/L ratio). Equivalent Static Analysis ETABS V.2016 was used analyze three distinct breadth-to-length ratios – 1, 0.7, 0.4 for each zone without wall with both Results reveal that act efficiently compared resist loads, drift, deflection. A descending failure pattern observed from lower higher corresponding (B/L).
